Matt Newman, PhD
Matt founded Serenity Research Consulting in 2015 as he was transitioning from a long academic career into private industry. In a previous life, he held faculty positions at Southwestern University, Bard College, and Arizona State University, teaching courses in social psychology, health psychology, and research methods He has extensive experience designing, conducting, and publishing research, using a wide range of methodologies from surveys to physiological measurements. He has authored three books and over 25 academic journal articles and book chapters. Matt earned his BA from Trinity University, and his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin. In his occasional spare time, he is an avid runner and likes to spend leisurely time with his family in Austin, Texas.
